Again we have over 60 scene changes in a 40 minute program along with the usual dim lighting. I watched this in Russian so a little bit might be lost in translation - but not much as crap is crap the world over.
The opening scene as usual features a few events that transpired in several previous episodes in an attempt to make this one seem exciting. The LA appear on our screens wandering around aimlessly looking pensive. Scott and Greer are sorting out some medical supplies ready for a drop off. Just then the lights start to flicker which the LA take as a sign that something underhand is going on. Brody shits his pants. Now the ship is in total darkness but it is hard to tell the difference. Cue opening credits.
After the supplies have been dropped off Kiva reaturns with them and then shoots a marine. She then gets TJ to radio Young with the good news. Meanwhile, Eli and Chloe are having a chat for a bit then he picks her up and walks off. Young walks up to the scientists and has a heated chat which ends up with Rush being a bit cheeky. This in turn ends up with Young making a half hearted attempt at attacking Rush. As the others hold Young back Rush gets a bit brave and there is much finger pointing going on.
TJ is treating one of the LA soldiers while the others are dragging off the corpse of the dead marine that Kiva shot. There is a long pause as Kiva looks on in silence. As Young is talking to Wray a call comes over the radio from Kiva who then tries to cut a dael for food and water with Wray. Wray promptly tells her to get stuffed. More lighting issues follow as TJ tries to get a bullet out of the arm of the LA soldier.
Young goes back to visit the scientists with a peace offering of a tea trolley filled with hot steaming beverages but no cakes or cookies. There is a lenghty discussion about a binary pulsar or something similar (lost that bit in translation) that seems to be causing the problems with the ships lights. Wray relays this information to Kiva who does not seem to be convinced.
The supplies are ready to be exchanged for the prisoners that Kiva promised in return. TJ has a tummy twinge but is then OK and then asks if she can start to treat her own people. Another long silent pause as Kiva looks on. Scott offers Wray a bullet proof vest but she turns it down like the condemned man refusing the blindfold in front of a firing squad. As they exchange prisoners for food Wray thinks that Kiva has short changed her as there are only three hostages instead of the four that were promised. This is when the dead marine is dragged out to make up the numbers.
Elsewhere on the ship, Eli is still wandering around carrying Chloe. He puts her down (we can only wish that this was true) so that he can open a door but the other side is open to space (why was he able to open it?). Luckily he is much man and manages to get the door closed again. How did his right arm get so strong? Scott chats to Greer and does a lot of lip pursing. TJ chats to the LA she was operating on. Chloe and Eli have an emotional chat. Eli spots a console.
Suddenly a brilliant white light engulfs the ship. A window of opportunity seems to have arrived and Scott and Greer get into the spacesuits. Wray negotiates with Kiva about the dynamic duo going outside to repair the ship. While all this is going on Telford sneaks into a compartment and picks up a hidden radio so that he can relay information back to Young. There is some more chat with the scientists before control of the ship is handed over to the LA.
As Scott and Greer go to a hole cut in the ship's hull by the fish aliens Telford does a bit of sabotage. Next thing you know the boys blunder are outside the ship (how did they get out there without a ladder?). Telford is now messing around with a console and Kiva walks in on him. They face up to each other and then "off" each other in a western style shootout at high noon. Scott and Greer are busy fixing the ship but can't get back inside afterwards as the shields are up (why can't they just jump through?). Rush relises that there is another way in and sends them there. Eli runs to let them in.
Kiva has been taken to TJ to be saved so she might not be dead. All of a sudden a marine starts a fight with one of the LA which results in a machine gun going off and spraying bullets all over the place. Both the marine and the LA are killed and when the dust settles so are a load of other people. TJ has been shot in the stomach so many times she looks like a Swiss cheese. Chloe seems to have fainted from blood loss. The LA are preparing to assasinate Young and his men. Scott and Greer are still outside the ship. Eli has probably had a heart attack from all the running that he has had to do.
Hopefully they are all dead or soon will be so that we can put this travesty of a show behind us for good and watch as it is cancelled for shit ratings.
Thank you piginpoo! I've been reading some of the forum's on syfy and on gateworld. A lot of negative comments from people who don't even post here. It was some of the same at Stalag Gateworld except with a whole lot of moderation. That place is no longer a forum. It's purely a fan website, tow the party line or get out. So not there for me. There were a few people at the syfy forum that I think I'll invite over here.
I'll keep checking to see when everything is back up.
